Lost Trails operates as a Sole Proprietorship engaged in organizing travel experiences including weekend getaways, treks, road trips, adventure activities, and curated group experiences across India.
Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking with Lost Trails, you acknowledge that:
- You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
- These terms apply to all participants included in the booking.
- Compliance with instructions issued by Lost Trails before and during the trip is mandatory.
Eligibility & Fitness
- Participants must be 18 years or older, unless otherwise specified.
- Participants must be physically and mentally fit to undertake the activities involved.
- Lost Trails reserves the right to deny participation to anyone deemed unfit or unsafe, without any obligation of refund.
Booking & Confirmation
- A booking is confirmed only after receipt of the specified advance or full payment.
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- Lost Trails reserves the right to accept or reject any booking at its discretion.
Payment Policy
- Payments may be collected in advance or in full, as communicated during booking.
- Any remaining balance must be paid within the communicated deadline.
- Failure to complete payment on time may result in cancellation without refund.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation and refund policies vary per trip and will be communicated during booking.
- Booking/advance amounts are non-refundable unless explicitly mentioned.
- No refunds shall be provided for:
No-shows
- Early departure from the trip o Missed activities or services
- Eligible refunds, if any, will be processed within 7–14 working days.
Itinerary Changes & Modifications
- Lost Trails reserves the right to modify itineraries, schedules, accommodations, or activities due to weather, safety concerns, operational issues, or government restrictions.
- Such changes shall not be considered grounds for refunds.
Transportation Policy
- Transportation is included in the package (Public Transportation Volvo Buses and Travellers).
- Lost Trails is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, breakdowns, or external factors.
- If participants choose to arrange their own transportation, Lost Trails shall not be responsible or liable for: Delays, missed activities, or failure to join the group or Accidents, breakdowns, fines, or legal complications o Additional costs incurred due to self-arranged travel
Accommodation Policy
- Accommodation is provided on a shared basis unless otherwise specified.
- Accommodation changes according to the travellers can be made but on extra charge basis.
- Room allocation is subject to availability.
- Any damage to accommodation property caused by a participant shall be borne by the participant.
Off-Beat Locations & Infrastructure Limitations
- Participants acknowledge that trips to off-beat or remote locations may involve limited infrastructure. Lost Trails shall not be responsible for:
- Power cuts or limited electricity supply
- Water shortages or irregular water supply
- Poor mobile network or internet connectivity
- Road conditions, traffic congestion, or access delays
- Such inconveniences are inherent to remote travel and shall not be grounds for refunds or claims.
Health, Medical & Personal Responsibility
- Participants must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations prior to the trip.
- Participants are responsible for carrying personal medications and essentials.
- Lost Trails shall not be liable for any medical emergencies, illnesses, or injuries during the trip.
Safety, Discipline & Conduct
- Participants must follow instructions given by trip leaders, coordinators, and guides.
- Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
- Alcohol consumption is permitted only where legally allowed and must be responsible.
- Any misconduct, indiscipline, or behavior risking safety may result in removal from the trip without refund.
Adventure Activities & Risk Acknowledgement
- Adventure and outdoor activities involve inherent risks.
- Participation is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.
- Lost Trails shall not be liable for any injury, accident, loss, or death arising during such activities.
Liability Disclaimer
- Lost Trails, being a sole proprietorship, shall not be liable for:
- Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings
- Accidents, injuries, or fatalities
- Delays or cancellations due to force majeure events Participation in trips is entirely at the participant’s own risk.
Insurance
- Travel or medical insurance is not included unless explicitly mentioned.
- Participants are advised to arrange their own insurance coverage.
Photography & Media Usage
- Lost Trails may capture photographs and videos during trips.
- Participants grant Lost Trails the right to use such media for promotional and marketing purposes.
- Participants who do not wish to be featured must inform the team prior to the trip.
Force Majeure
- Lost Trails shall not be responsible for any delay, cancellation, or inconvenience caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters and weather conditions
- Landslides, traffic blockages, or road closures
- Government orders, strikes, or political unrest
Complaints & Grievances
- Any complaints must be raised immediately with the trip coordinator.
- Post-trip complaints must be submitted within 48 hours of trip completion.
Amendments
Lost Trails reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
